1. Introduction to Scholarship

    The "Guangdong Provincial Government Scholarship for International Students in Guangdong" project was established by the Guangdong Provincial Government in 2013 to attract outstanding young foreign students to study undergraduate and graduate degrees in Guangdong. As an enrollment unit of the scholarship, South China Normal University recruits outstanding foreign students from abroad for the scholarship program.



2. Applicant qualifications

1. Applicants must have foreign nationality, hold a valid foreign passport, and be in good health

2. Foreign students who apply to come to Guangdong for undergraduate education (including undergraduate) with excellent academic performance

3. Education and age requirements of the applicant:

*People who come to China to study for an undergraduate degree must obtain a diploma from a senior high school (inclusive) or above in their country of residence, and the age should not exceed 30 years old;

* Those who come to China to study for a master's degree must have a bachelor's degree and be under 35 years old;

* Those who come to China to study for a doctorate must have a master's degree and be under 40 years of age.

4. The applicant has excellent academic performance, a clear purpose of studying in Guangdong, and has formulated a clear learning plan based on the professional setting of the university to be studied, combined with his own interests and professional expertise.

5. Applicants come to study in Guangdong at their own expense. Students who have already enjoyed other scholarships cannot apply for the scholarship.

Note: The winners of this scholarship program must pay all fees (including registration fees, tuition fees, insurance fees and accommodation fees) according to the standard of self-financed students. The scholarship will be sent from the school to the individual provided by the winner once the award list is announced. Bank accounts.

4. Scholarship content

One-time reward

PhD students: 30,000 yuan/person;

Master students: 20,000 yuan/person;

Undergraduate: 10,000 yuan/person

Students who are awarded scholarships for newly admitted students will apply for the scholarships for the next year after enrollment according to the scholarship method for current students. Prior approval will be granted under the same conditions.

6. Application Procedure

Scholarship applicants for the "Guangdong Provincial Government Scholarship for International Students in Guangdong" must be accepted by our school before they are eligible to participate in the scholarship selection.

(3) Notarized highest academic qualifications, notarized translations in Chinese or English must be attached to texts in languages other than Chinese or English; undergraduate professional applicants must provide a high school (inclusive) or higher graduation certificate from their country of residence;

(4) The transcript confirmed by the graduation school. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English;

(5) Study and research plan in China (no less than 800 words), written in Chinese or English;

(6) The recommendation letters provided by the two recommenders are written in Chinese or English; the undergraduate professional applicants must provide the recommendation letter of the principal and one teacher of the graduated high school, and the applicant of the high school or above should provide the school 2 Letters of recommendation from professors or associate professors; applicants for master's degree programs should provide letters of recommendation from 2 professors or associate professors during the bachelor's degree; applicants for doctoral degree programs should provide letters of recommendation from 2 professors or associate professors during the master's degree education.

(7) Students applying for studying music must submit CDs of their works; students applying for studying art must provide 2 sketches, 2 color drawings and 2 other CDs;

(8) A copy of the "Foreign Physical Examination Form" (the original is kept by yourself). This form is uniformly printed by the Chinese Health and Quarantine Department, and can be found on the website of the Committee for Studying Abroad http://www.csc.edu.cn/laihua or http ://www.campuschina.org download, must be completed in English. The applicant shall strictly follow the items required in the "Physical Examination Form for Foreigners". The "Physical Examination Form for Foreigners" which is missing, has no photos attached to it or is not stamped with a seam seal, and has no signature from the doctor and hospital is invalid. In view of the validity of the examination results for 6 months, the applicant is requested to determine the time of his medical examination accordingly;

7. Scholarship selection and results announcement time

    Applicants who graduated from world-renowned universities, come from our university/university exchange colleges, or receive recommendations from senior professors (experts) will be given priority. Our school will organize experts to comprehensively consider the applicants' academic performance, academic ability, scientific research results and tutors' opinions, and determine the admission list. All admitted candidates will enter the next round of screening. After the admitted students come to study at their own expense, our school will re-screen the scholarship applicants who come to school and submit the list of scholarship candidates to the Guangdong Provincial Department of Education in mid-September 2019. The list is subject to final review and the final award list is determined.

The scholarship results are expected to be determined in December 2019 and published on the website of the Guangdong Provincial Government website and the website of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office of our school (http://io.scnu.edu.cn). Scholarships will be issued after the results are announced.
